Kevin Joyce

Kevin Joyce

CEO and Editor-in-Chief of VRFocus, Kevin has over a decade worth of experiencing in the videogame industry. Covering console, PC and mobile platforms with videogames specialist media outlet Electronic Theatre. He has been with VRFocus from its initial launch and has an in-depth knowledge of everything related to virtual reality companies, technology, hardware, software and news. This knowledge is invaluable in this explosive, fast paced interactive medium.

Kevin’s experience and contacts in both the gaming and VR industry as well as being with VRFocus from the very beginning make him one of the most up to date individuals on the latest immersive technologies. He will help steer the initiative and curate the general events.

Nina Salomons

Nina Salomons

Previously co-founding Unfold (previously known as Women in VR in the UK) Nina is a keen supporter of underrepresented groups. She is an emerging BAME filmmaker in the Modern Tales program, directed Gamer Girls documentary as well as In State of Transit which is still being used by the United Nations (UN) to help advocate the rights of refugees around the world.

Her background in organising film festivals, leading filmmaking societies, directing and producing films as well as initiating VR Hackathons. She is leading and co-ordinating the VR Diversity Initiative.

Amy Chao

Amy Chao

Amy is a multidisciplinary designer and strategist with a background across fashion, retail and travel from US, Asia, and Europe segueing into fashion/ retail tech.

As a connector, she is especially interested in innovation synergies between creative and tech, across industries and communities, and how emerging tech develops alongside humanity for their potential to help in our daily lives.

She champions the possibilities of XR technologies for building inclusive future worlds and is a keen supporter of diversity in tech.

Alicja Wasilewska

Alicja Wasilewska

Alicja’s background is in Film/TV development, production and talent representation. Throughout her career she has lived in Los Angeles and London where she worked with top-tier film directors and screenwriters.

She currently works at Blend Media - a 360° technology platform - as a Business Development Manager where she produced the 360 Live Stream of the 2017 solar eclipse for NASA as well as coordinated product launches for Facebook 360.

Alicja believes that now is the best opportunity to shape the immersive technologies job market to create diversity and promote inclusion.

Kate Parkinson

Kate Parkinson

Kate Parkinson is an international correspondent and filmmaker with a decade of experience covering the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe.

She is highly skilled in reporting from hostile environments such as conflict zones, natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies. Kate’s storytelling has often centred around the issues of equality and diversity, and these are themes she is continuing to explore now as a VR content creator.

Adeline Rozario

Adeline Rozario is a Creative Director in Tinderdust, an electronic music duo from London. Adeline spent the past few months directing and producing a live, holographic, augmented music production, Tinderdust’s The Forest of Phantasmagorias. The production combines cutting-edge holographic and augmented technologies to create an immersive, inspiring experience, drawing audiences into a digital dreamscape of fantastical creatures and foreboding tales, amidst a live music performance.

Tinderdust‘s The Forest of Phantasmagorias debuted at The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2017, with subsequent shows at Watermans Arts Centre’s Digital Weekender Festival, and a sold out performance at VAULT Festival 2018. It was featured thrice in TimeOut magazine in 2018, and named top thing to do in London on its opening night.

Adeline’s interests lie in AR and MR technologies, and exploring how different realities can be evoked within the same space, in a creative context.
